I had a lovely Christmas day. I got up and went for a run, made french toast with real maple syrup (smuggled with me from Canada) and then headed off to the Intercontinental Hotel to sit by the pool and do some reading (boring literature review, but as I'm a dork I found it interesting). I made a massage appointment (which I went to yesterday) and headed back to my room where I prepared a nice dinner of chicken, with local mushrooms, mashed potatoes with green beans and carrotts. Gingerbread cookies and ice cream for dessert (the ice cream was compliments of Godfrey). All and all a very nice day.
